  • Cats aren’t as big a commitment as a dog but, depending on the cat, they will wreck your shit if they’re not simulated enough. I would highly recommend going to a shelter and adopting a cat that’s a few years old. Kittens need a lot. But a 2-3 year old cat you can get a sense for their personality (although keep in mind they act differently in the shelter.)

Cats are a different vibe than dogs though. Dogs are more like having a child but cats are like having a roommate.

Cat pro tip - if your TV’s aren’t mounted on the wall, find a way to secure them.

  • Interesting. I still use the 360 controller on my PC because that thing is a tank. Basically indestructible. But my One controllers are garbage. The plastic was so badly formed I got aftermarket grips because it was constantly pinching my hands. It also feels like I could twist it in to pieces with by hand. The Series X controller fails to live up to the 360 but it feels significantly more solid and the pieces at least fit together.

  • I’ve been really confused at why people hate HMOs. My company has two options and the non-HMO is way more expensive. The only downside to the HMO seems to be very strict rules about out of network coverage but all our doctors take it so it’s not really an issue. I’ve also never needed a referral and they’ve never gotten in my way on aging, at least so far. But the hate makes sense if they used to be worse. I’ve only had a job with insurance for like 5 years.

  • 3 to 6 months if such a bitter sweet age. On the one hand, it’s when they start turning in to little people and their personality starts emerging. But it’s also where it starts to get really hard. I’m not sure if it gets easier or you get better at dealing with it, but it gets better.

We’re at 18 months and it’s a really fun and exciting age but I miss the little goofy baby. The last few months before they become mobile and tear your house to shreds are precious.
