The age old question. Coke? Pepsi? Store brand? Any other?
I’m personally a Dr Pepper guy myself.
The prices for coke and pepsi products has gone up an absurd amount the last few years. Unless they drop back down a bit in price (unlikely) I’m sticking to my sodastream for all my home carbonation needs.
That’s fair enough. Tbh everything has gone up by absurd amounts, at least where I am.
Bundaberg ginger beer! It’s the only answer
Huge soda fan so picking just one is super hard but I’d say:
Oronamin C or Sweet Blossom’s Rose soda
Oronamin C is a Japanese soft drink with a taste that is often described as “drinking (American) Smarties”. It’s incredibly refreshing and delicious. Sweet Blossom is I think an eastern European beverage company and they make a rose flavored soda that is to die for. It has far and away my favorite quality of carbonation (very fine, soft bubbles).
Other honorable mentions include Ocean Bomb: Sailor Mercury (i.e. pear flavor), and as a big fan of cherry colas, Bawls Guarana Cherry Cola and Fentiman’s Cherry Tree Cola.

On those funky Coke machines in some restaurants, there was an option to get Raspberry Coke Zero for a long time. I grew to love it. Now it looks like they’re taking it away in most places.
Barq’s Red Creme soda
Big Red/Blue creme soda
I tried a big red recently and it just tasted off, like they changed the formula in the last 15-20 years, but was glad to see Barq’s was just as I remembered.
I really enjoy olipop’s imitation dr pepper
Give me a nice local root beer.
In terms of mass production, Sunkist was my favorite. I don’t really drink any any more though.
This guy fucks

I can’t argue with that…
Georgia makes the best soft drinks in the world in my opinion. My personal favourite is pear flavoured Natakhtari: https://natakhtari.com/lemonade
Also fun fact: Lemonade means soft drink in a lot of places in the world, I hear that’s lemon flavoured water in the US.
I thought you meant the state of Georgia in the US at first instead of the country Georgia, it made the rest of the comment very confusing
Can confirm, Lemonade in the US is lemon juice + water + a lot of sugar, no carbonation
Oh right, I forgot it was a state in the US, it’s been like 20 years since my last geography class.
regularly drunk: go-to is rimarily Coke Zero because it’s the easiest to find here and no empty calories.
special occasion: probably some variety of birch beer with ginger-ale being a close follow-up. On rare occasions, a very cold regular coke on a hot summer day (though not the US ones; last time I went back, both regular and diet had this really weird taste I don’t remember being there before).
Personally a “softer” root beer is generally my go-to.
I used to really like Canadian mountain dew before they were able to sell US mountain dew here and abandoned the Canadian one. It was so much better without caffeine. But that’s their whole gimmick. Except it sold totally fine in Canada without it.

Zevia crew represent!
I tried. It’s a no from me dawg. Coke tried a stevia version and even that failed. It can’t be done.
But I’m hopeful. I use stevia in my tea and coffee, so maybe it’s possible.
It took me a while, but it really grew on me. I’m a big fan of their vanilla cola, and grape flavours. But yes, it is a bit of an acquired taste maybe.
Fanta, regular Fanta.
Have you heard the… Interesting, origins of fanta?
Haha, no? Why, what’s going on with that?
Check out the video on YouTube (newpipe) by uploader ‘My Name is Andong’ it’s really good!
Oh man I am crazy for Jones Soda. Fufu Berry (which is hard to find in my area), Cream, and Berry Lemonade are my favorites.
It is pretty expensive, but for an occasional treat it’s not bad.
I used to love Coke, Mountain Dew, and Monster but I cut back and now they taste gross to me.
