Given the existence of kbin and potentially others, we shouldn’t be named something specific to lemmy.

    We are obviously all feds

I really like this one even if it does come with the implication that we are marching to our doom.

Its extra funny because redditors will definitely have a superiority complex about it. Look at those lemmings, all unthinkingly upvoting each other, unlike me, a profound and insightful redditor.

Riffing off of another comment, I think it’s ok to have terms specific to each platform, and then a term for all platforms.

    Platform specific:

    • Lemming
    • Kbiner
    • Mastadoner

    Overall:

    • Fediverser

Mastodonians, Kbingers, and Fedizens are all superb. I’m not a fan of “feds” because it has another pretty common usage. I feel like whatever term is chosen should unambiguously evoke the fediverse.

The “fed” nickname was a bit facetious for exactly that reason. I just think it’d be funny for everyone to start calling eachother narcs. The internet is already full of that kind of fedjacketing, so why not embrace it?
