A ton people here posted in another thread that they were banned from Reddit and that’s why they Lemmy…

You dudes do realize its possible to make another account right?

    Reddit does IP bans and device fingerprinting for site-wide permabans. When they banned my main account - after I deleted all my comments/posts and then deleted my account mind you, they then undeleted it all so they could ban it - within an hour of signing in to an alt account that had never made a post/comment/upvote/etc, it was also permanently banned.

    It’s not hard to get around these restrictions and use reddit if you do want to, but I don’t want to.
