Well, I discovered Lemmy through one of Mental Outlaw’s videos. I really liked that it was mostly open source platforms in the Fediverse and the concept of federation so I decided to stay. I’ve been here since 2023.
Matrix instead of what? Discord? Sure. For the same reason as above: Federation and it being open source technology.
