Honesty, I am tired of accidentally hitting “back” on my phone and having my feed reset, so I was wondering if any of your clients didn’t do that, while also wanting to check out the competition for Sync.
Eternity
Boost for Lemmy
Jerboa on mobile, the website on desktop.
Connect for lemmy, reminds me of rif
Voyager works like a charm for me.
Yup. I use the PWA so I don’t even need to install it. Wish this was more widespread.
PWA?
Progressive web app
Jerboa. Made by the Lemmy devs.
Just Sync
Fun fact. If you search up reddit on android bar sync comes up.
The app is just called sync what used to be Sync for Lemmy. It still says sync for Lemmy on the play store, I’m not sure if that hasn’t been updated or it’s the official name still.
Boost for Lemmy since Boost for Reddit was my old app
Same, Boost just has the most intuitive flow to me. Like real humans designed it instead of ::: spoiler Linux users spoiler :::
Blorp is incredible !
Feature requests are welcome!
And from my friends in the Zip team
Voyager
Voyager here, can’t complain.
Connect
Eternity. I don’t know the last time the dev has updated this shit but it kinda works. I still love the UI
Connect for lemmy,
Back button asks if you want to exit the app
Looks just like RIF
“Looks just like RIF”
I seriously don’t understand how that’s a positive. RIF always looked and felt like it was badly designed on purpose. Like some shitty thing from the early 2000s. But seeing the shit people do with theming on their phones and other stuff it’s weirdly not surprising, still doesn’t make sense. It’s actually vile looking.
Remember that some really like old reddit for some reason.
While I sort of get it on the desktop, I really not get it on the phone.
I liked Rif and I like this. I’m an old man who has my text messages zoomed in and my wife laughs at me
Seconded
+1 for Voyager. It’s my first and so far only client that I’ve used, having been on infinity for reddit before switching.
I like it. it’s smooth, works well, and has fairly granular settings for how to handle “read” posts, gesture controls within posts / comments, and so on.
do you have issues with redgifs? they don’t work for me on Voyager
I don’t have issues with redgifs. I thought I recalled a setting similar to media player defaults but I can’t find it, so I must’ve been thinking of infinity for reddit.
does it have anything to do with default browser, I wonder? I’m on grapheneOS with vanadium as my browser.
