I often have downtime and dont have my book with me. What’s some of your favorite sites to do some reading/learning?
I do have kiwix and its great but has so much data I dont know where to start sometimes !
I have always found everything2.com to contain deep, concise insights about any topic you care to search up.
It is a massively-interlinked, cooperative website that predates Wikipedia.
Search for something you know a fair bit about, to check its validity.
The grid at the bottom allows easy navigating between similar nodes.
Which subject or subjects interest you? Do you prefer just reading, or are audio sources fine?
E.g. literature and story themes have good coverage on Nebula or YT.
History has a lot on just plain Wikipedia, or sites like NativeOak.org digital library.
Language learning is one thing that can be done when you only have your phone on you but want to be productive. Browsing Wikipedia can also lead you down some interesting rabbit holes where you end up learning something new. I’ll also use downtime to clean up my files and photos.
I go here once in a while https://www.worldometers.info/
Those numbers are both awe inspiring and depressing at the same time 😕.
Kinda cool. Ty.
No worries.
if you are feeling like reading on a device, theres https://www.royalroad.com/home and https://www.baen.com/categories/free-library.html.
Check if your local library has a website or app and gives you access to digital libraries. You can often get digital copies of magazines (they still exist) and digital books and audio books.
