Matthew Broderick.
He’s an alright actor, but seeing him always reminds me of that time he got drunk (rumored) and killed two people with his car in Ireland but faced almost zero repercussions (he got a small fine).
If every Lemmy user donated $1…
You still wouldn’t have enough, but you’d be close.
Worst part is, those are usually the best ones.
I bought two sets of Govee Glide wall lights for my Office and I can’t imagine how I would improve on them beyond just doing more to make them look ‘built in’. It’s a bit of a step up from an LED light strip.
Patents are frequently intentionally as vague as possible. You’re operating from the perspective that an item is patented to protect an idea as opposed to being weaponized to make money. You are for sure 100% going to be doing something where it’s arguable that it could fall under an existing patent. You might still win if you want to pay to fight it out in court.
I think they’re saying that proof you researched patents could be used to prove that you willfully violated a patent or could be used as evidence that your work that you may see as unrelated was inspired by something patented.
Maxwell’s powers are limited by what he can describe with written language and the speed at which Maxwell can do so. Q’s powers are effectively similar but seemingly without either limitation.
For me, I’ve always gone by the typical english definition of “combining and heating” ingredients.
If you’ve combined more than one item together and applied heat somehow, that counts as cooking, otherwise you’re doing something else. Like, if I made myself a cold sandwich, I wouldn’t say I ‘cooked’ a sandwich and the same for if I threw a burrito in the microwave.
So, from that, as long as you either warmed up the beans or threw the bread in the toaster and those items weren’t pre-combined somehow, I’d personally say you cooked it.
This was mostly pre internet and he’s just never addressed it making it a non story. He claimed he had amnesia and couldn’t remember the accident which definitely at least feels like it adds evidence to the drunk driving claims… But, nothing ever came of it.
He was driving with Jennifer grey, she’s talked about it a bit and is obviously still traumatized, but she still backs up the ‘he was sober’ story that they managed to sell at the time.
