Stephen King’s Bill Hodges trilogy: Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, & End of Watch.
If you like Privateer, check out Double Damage Games “Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw”. Excellent game with a lot of sadly lost potential due to the dev being run out of game development by hostile and entitled “gamers”.
Darkstar One. And it is just now getting rereleased, so it doesn’t count.
So instead, I’ll pick The Legend of Dragoon on PSX. Such a fun RPG that really needs revisited.
Persona. I’ve had conversations with friends after playing P4 or P5 for awhile where I wondered what response would max out my confidant points with them.
I really wish I could remember the name of it, but it’s about a lawyer who effectively puts the devil on trial, except it’s really messed up in parts. There’s this entire sequence involving a girl, a young child, who over time seduces the main character who describes in great detail the experience of screwing this child, only for it to be revealed that the girl was the devil/a demon of some sort whose sole purpose is to corrupt the main character. The majority of the book was great, but that particular sequence was well into distasteful and disturbing.
I think it was called Son of the Endless Night, but I’m not certain if that’s correct.
Now go away, before I taunt you a second time!
I would, but I’m not even supposed to be here today.
My friend in grammar school had a Leap Day birthday and his parents’ solution was that his birthday was celebrated “the day after February 28th”.
Learn to redefine “clean”. You’re not living in a museum. Things don’t need to be pristine and dust free.
I picked a day of the week, in my case Saturday, and chose one area of the house to concentrate on. Dishes, laundry, and any other “infinite work” chores can become overwhelming quickly if they’re not kept up on, so there are frequently days where that’s the only house work that gets done.
The unpopular truth here is that if you value cleanliness enough for this to bother you, you probably should have considered this well before your third kid. Just do yourself a favor and never, ever resent your kids for their messes. I hope you find a way that works for you and maximizes your relationships with your children!
Hogwarts Legacy on Switch. I should have known better, but my local Walmart had it on sale for $29.99 a few weeks ago and I bought on impulse after reading a few posts about how it’s gotten better after updates. I’ve had glitches galore. Mad pop-in, falling through geometry, crashes, and two save game corruptions, all in the most up-to-date version available. If this is better, I can’t imagine how broken it was at launch. I feel like I got $5 of content out of this. If the glitches were at least amusing, I might be ok with it, but the save corruption is just unacceptable.
Wow, I had forgotten about how much I loved these. My favorite phone ever was the HTC G2. LOVED that keyboard!
Add in an IR blaster, and that’s my whole list.
It’s even more crazy to consider the entire filesize for Vagrant Story is around 100mb. It’s incredibly economical for what it achieves.
Knights Field series. I never could get into them back in the day, but I’ve been on a retro kick with my Anbernic and got sucked into them. Ended up putting 20 hours so far into the English translation of the first Japanese KF.
Also, Vagrant Story. Pretty much same scenario where I rented it back in the day and bounced off the combat for not making any sense to me. Tried it recently and really dig it. The combat system is really quite clever once you understand it.
I feel that. It is still the game I have logged the most time with, which considering I’ve got about 1,300 hours in Elite Dangerous is kinda scary. Between the original Xbox, PC, and Xbox One BC, I’ve got about 1,800 hours in it. Thoroughly enjoyed breaking every aspect of Morrowind.
In defense of The Dark Tower… it isn’t an adaptation of the books. It’s a sequel. It continues the story in a way in which Roland finally breaks the loop.
Agreed. It bears so little resemblance to the “”“source material”“” that they were legally required to remove all mentions of Stephen King from the film credits and promotional materials when it released on VHS.
By all means. Full us in!
