As much as I love Sync, it has been almost a year since the last update.

Better marketing, better UI, lots of users, and plenty of non-political content.

That definitely hinders discoverability. My feed is basically a depressing mix of climate change and politics.

I think this is a problem with the Fediverse in general.

Search Kendrick Lamar on BlueSky and it’s filled with people celebrating it, breaking down different aspects of the show, and making memes. Search the same on Mastodon and you get news articles about the show and the occasional personal post. A majority of the posts have 0 engagement on most of the posts.

I learned a lot of Inkscape tools from watching Logos By Nick videos. He has some courses offered on his website that you may find useful.

It feels nicer to me, and following nested comments is less tedious without the compact color lives. My friends who don’t use Lemmy prefer I send Photon links when I can.

I mean I tried In-N-Out, but it was just… Fine? Maybe it was over-hyped before I tried it, but I wasn’t blown away. It didn’t do anything wrong, but it didn’t do anything for me.

My comments were steered more towards the burgers, but I will say none of the places I mentioned impressed me with the fries (esp Whataburger).

Whataburger vs Wendy’s is a poor comparison. I see their true rivals are Five Guys, Shake Shack, and In and Out.

I think it takes a bit of experimentation and what you think fits your style. Personally, I avoid ones that are overly sweet or smell to chemically.

My wife loves when I wear a cologne from Barrister & Mann, and it’s arguably my favorite as well. (Maggard Razors sells small samples if you want to try.

There’s a high amount of friction to get people to join the Fediverse. I had to put in more effort than I’d like to figure out how things worked.

My biggest worry was picking the wrong Mastodon instance and then having no easy way to migrate my stuff to another server. Even after you pick your instance, there’s so much setup for things that you kinda just expect to work.

Heavily consider a vasectomy.
