Sorry to hear you didn’t like it! As a sci-fi and alt history nerd I’ve rewatched it a couple times with delight. Since you didn’t get past episode 2 I can’t speak to how much (or little) character development there was. That said, my favorite characters definitely grow on me, season 1 to end of season 3 takes place over 40 years so there’s a lot of passage of time for characters to mature.

I just watched Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure yesterday and though the soundtrack is not original, the soundtrack made the movie.

I think you hit the nail on the head answering OP’s question, sorry you didn’t like it! To be fair it wasn’t popular when it came out and became a cult classic in the 00s. I think it captures an absurdist side of America of the 90s (not to mention starring Buscemi, one of my favorite actors)… bowling alleys for social meet ups, roughneck Vietnam vets, drug-slipping Porn kingpins. I watch it maybe a couple times a year when I have a hankering for a White Russian :)

Ooo good choice! It is a cult classic and truly emblematic of Soviet-era comedies. The film doesn’t take itself too seriously and the fight scenes stand the test of time.

Fumaroles are the nasty ones because they tend to have vaporized hydrochloric acid and sulfur oxides in the steam. These emitted gases derive from cooling of complex magmas that contain sulfur, fluorine, hydrogen, and carbon.

I’ve been using Flipboard since 2012 and with the ebb and flow of how news is consumed over the last 12 years I think Flipboard has stayed true to its original goal, a simple news aggregator app . I remember when they first introduced ads into the app I was almost turned off, but the ads ended up being formatted similar to the news article so they weren’t intrusive to my experience.

There’s been a few news sources that are garbage but I just mute them and never see them in my feed. I think after 12 years the app has figured out my interests xD

I also read a lot of news in Spanish and the app does a good job of including non-US publications
