12·1 year agoI can hear coil whine from my PC’s graphics card, but that’s it.
Edit: Also our home stereo system (not the speakers) when it’s turned on.
I used the have a PC that ran Windows XP, and when I moved the mouse, sound was heard from the speakers. It probably had a cheap sound controller on the motherboard.
Without ZFS, when a drive starts making mistakes, it starts to corrupt some of your data, so it has to be replaced ASAP.
With ZFS RAIDz1, each transaction is double-checked and errors are corrected, so you don’t need to replace any drives until one of your drives is almost completely unusable.
Not if you use ZFS. But then you’ll need an extra drive for parity data

I don’t approve of the decisions made by Google, but that doesn’t affect how much I use their services.
However, I am unhappy about the fact that the Google Play Services app is required by their apps, since it constantly runs in the background eating battery, consuming RAM, causing lag spikes and wasting mobile data. For this reason, I use MicroG when possible.
I don’t like the fact that some Google apps (e.g. Chrome) on my phone are not uninstallable, but that’s the OEM’s fault (Samsung in my case). Luckily it’s possible to remove these using ADB (without root).
I don’t like how they want to make it harder to root your own device.
