no. events and our decisions are abstracted far enough so that the illusion of free will is apparent. I think it’s very well impossible to fully distinguish between free will and fate from our limited perspective

I haven’t met a single person that didn’t like Photon. Photon is the only reason I started browsing on desktop regularly. It’s lean, clean, and packed with gorgeous transitions; I’ve rarely ever found a project that gets form and function right.
The internet is a shitty place. I’m not surprised that on Lemmy we have shit like
- “client with no JS when?”
- “I don’t want normies anyway”
- “I’m too old to appreciate a modern-looking UI”
- “eww I don’t like this thing that carries subjective opinions, let’s never let anyone use this.”
The troll energy is strong, but it doesn’t change that this is a great project. Alternative UI’s are what make Lemmy unique, and you’re doing your part. That’s appreciated.
4·1 year agoI couldn’t stand not using a custom app for Reddit because it is just so bad. I’m a nerd too so that made moving here easier.
As for getting others to move here, not yet. 🥲

Mull (Firefox) or Cromite (Chromium). Cromite isn’t on F-Droid though
maybe once a month if even.
only phone I’ve ever catastrophically broken by drop is a Galaxy S20; curved screen edges are bad for durability. glad most phone manufacturers have axed it now.
