I think there’s absolutely a middle ground where someone is currently a danger to society, but they’re capable of rehabilitation. However, we absolutely need to continue that work on the outside once it’s safe for them to be released if we want to reduce recidivism of violent crime.
I’m not making an argument for or against it, just seemed really self-centred bestie. You could say the same thing about asylum seekers, though the obvious advantage is the cultural diversity they bring and, you know, being a decent human being.
Does every single thing need to provide an advantage to you, for you to support it?
Sure, we don’t build with stone anymore, but there are an incredibly large amount of buildings and monuments built with stone that would last thousands of years, not merely hundreds. That’s really good news about Mt Rushmore though, I’m glad that eyesore won’t be around for many years to come.
Additionally our entire modern civilization would have basically no trace left after a couple hundred years, estimated.
Oh yeah, Mount Rushmore is totally just gonna be weathered away in a couple hundred years, and the pyramids have had extensive preservation efforts over the millennia…

Welp, today i learned, but I was obviously talking about the california national guard
Every state has a national guard. I’m actually really surprised the California guard followed Trump’s illegal nationalisation when Newsom clearly stated he didn’t authorise it, as is his right.
I saw someone in a large group chat I’m in use it just the other day, but I have no idea how popular it actually is in the States.
it’s better than “MickyDs” or whatever the americans say 🤭
I totally get not wanting to watch them, but how can you be against the idea of creators having their name attached to something??
Bipolar isn’t a personality disorder, it’s a mood disorder. Otherwise, obviously I can’t convince you of my sincerity, but I am genuinely terrified of ever wanting to go off my medications. Thankfully it hasn’t crossed my mind seriously once in ~8 years.
See this is absolutely the key point here I think. Because here in Australia where it’s similarly rare, the only time I generally see people reverse in, is when there is a walkway of some sort to reverse up too, not another car.
On your last point, there are absolutely ways around that with technology. Reversing and side cameras existed long before they were factory features as aids for disabled drivers.
As a woman, yes, especially at night, because I value my life.
If you’re a member of the call, you’d want to be in a single-party consent jurisdiction.
I hope Tara Burnett gets elected in Cooper, the first trans MP would be such a big win!
I’m going to have to agree with the “politically immature” comment. There are more than two parties, and we’re not even close to USA politics. That’s part of why Dutton’s polling has dropped so much, because he tried the MAGA 2.0 route and people rejected it out of hand. Go do Vote Compass or better yet draw a dick on your ballot so the rest of us don’t have to suffer your poor choices.
I wouldn’t necessarily discount Labor having to form minority government. It’s certainly within the polling margin of error for Greens to pick up a couple seats from them, especially in Melbourne.
Nice try movie executive!
