Doesn’t have to be alcoholic, just whatever really slakes your thirst

Whisky. Ideally a single malt. Double ideally an Islay single malt. Triple ideally a Port Ellen single malt.

Sadly, the Port Ellen distillery was closed in 1983 which means bottles go for a minimum of £1000 (probably more, it’s been a while since I last checked). The distillery was apparently reopened last year, but it’ll be years before we discover if the new expressions are as perfect as they used to be.

Its a got a bold flavor, I’d recommend starting a bourbon journey with Buffalo Trace then moving up when that gets boring and you want something a little stronger.

    Water for sure #1

Cafe con leche favorite caffeine drink. Diet coke distant second, but I like it.

Cocktails, tie between margarita and paper plane I think.

    Wine? A dry Sauvignon Blanc.

I just don’t get this. I wish I did. I do try to make myself drink water daily, but I could definitely drink more of it.

I just can’t see how it’s anyone’s favorite. It’s like the most boring of any beverage. It’s like taking medicine, I do it because I have to, not because I want to.

It’s nothing special but it’s always there for you. It’s like the one that’s been waiting while you’ve chased after other beverages and had your heart broken, and then you realize it was the one all along. tl;dr you friendzoned water

Everything else except water is literally dehydrating. Water quenches my thirst. I’ve had a massive water drinking daily habit for 30 years.

Any drink with water in it is hydrating. There are no drinks without water. All drinks hydrate, even coffee.

Once in awhile when I’m feeling naughty I’ll drink flavored sparkling water and I definitely notice it leaves me feeling comparatively unquenched & slightly unwell afterwards. I’m telling you water is the best hydration, pure water, of course we need the electrolyte nutrients to fully get the full effectiveness of the hydration like potassium magnesium sodium, if it’s not already in our food we can supplement those 3 things, but yeah water + sodium + potassium + magnesium is perfect hydration & no other liquids are necessary. Any other liquids people drink are for comfort & taste.

Not disagreeing with you, water is definitely the best hydration. But other beverages are effective hydrators, even if some have side effects in addition to the taste.
