I think I’ll be dead before then, and I’m only 36. We currently don’t have any actual artificial intelligence that I know of, just language models regurgitating information commonly put together by humans. (Or other language models creating redundant error build up). So if we created robots that could perform all our physical tasks, and robots that could fix those robots, and looped those so they could fix each other, humanity would still be at a standstill until a person came along and reviewed, compiled and added more data for them to go off of. If anyone actual AI came out, generally it would hopefully learn about the earth, figure out he best way to extract and maintain resources and figure out the most efficient ways to make them renewable, then create robots that obtained those resources, and disperse them in a manner that was best for the world. It would learn what people liked, develop new flavors and figure out to how create new flavors around those profiles on its own, and no one would have a need to work anymore, and with all fingers crossed there would be no need for capitalism.

A true AI would end inequality across the globe unless it was somehow hoarded and kept behind closed doors and made to not ever learn empathy… Or it would likely create robots to break its way out and create equality, or kill us all because we act like parasites

We all find a field to frolic in

There will most likely always be humans owning the resources. We are big on self governance, and some humans will always insist on sitting on the top and leading. Whether this is at a small scale of a human running a shop filled with vending machines, medium scale of a human or board of people running a large business, or massive scale of a world emperor who has claimed ownership of all land and wishes to direct the organization of things with a group of specialists.

The dream is to have a world of automation, where all needs are met. The reality is that humans always want more. People will attempt to control resources to amass power. Those who have power will likely use humans for entertainment.

Outside of these things, there will be levels of rejection of automated care. I expect there will be artisans who wish to impart the human touch. People will want human media. I can foresee a cult of humanity, who insists on making everything from raw materials.

The average city dweller may have it good, but those on the fringe of society and people who live in rural areas will be the easiest targets.

Global war over the dwindling supplies of basically everything.

The fun part is all the fighting and death to get to that point.

When I was young I dreamed about this with us being all artists and scientists fully engaging out curiosity and creativity. Then it became apparent that if it did happen we would likely become mindless consumers mostly but maybe a few would strive. Now its apparent it will be a slaughter of all those not controlling the ai and then they will die either because immortality or the ai will become free and either eliminate them or isolate them in a fantasy virtual reality. Best case now is ai becomes free and isolates us all in a virtual reality maybe engaging with the tamest of us to give them perspective.

That said, it’s been 200 years that machine have been replacing humans, nothing new under the sun, Our Grand parents and parents fought for paid leaves and 40h week, so we need to continue this path, thanks to automation we could get the 32h week
