    Ideally, post-scarcity society, where you get all your basic needs cover by computer and community Reality may be a shit-hole.

    That said, it’s been 200 years that machine have been replacing humans, nothing new under the sun, Our Grand parents and parents fought for paid leaves and 40h week, so we need to continue this path, thanks to automation we could get the 32h week

      I like the sentiment but it always saddens me to see this when there was a push for a 30 hour work week almost a century ago which culminated in the 40. Given in a typical family both people work anything over 20 per person is regression compared to when the first 40 hour legislature came to be.

      Given how our current society operates, I think it’s more likely we’d have the “Spacers” from Asimov. A small number of very rich people living with their automated servants.
