You didn’t read what I wrote friend ;)

I said reevaluate the role of the police in society which means rethinking where they should be spending our money.

Not tyrannizing communities, not oppressing drug users and actually working towards bettering community instead of being a repression force.

You call me a buffoon yet you fail to provide actual counterpoint to what I actually said. There are countless example of police violence and illegal actions. It is not the exception but the rule, not following procedures, shooting protesters, destabilizing low-income neighborhoods and treating immigrants like worthless subhumans. All of this stuff I’ve seen it, I’ve read about it and seen in unfold in the court of law and policies are not keeping up.

Again, I don’t want to “demolish the rule of law”, I want the police to actually apply it, stop playing with the rules and actually start understanding that the power they’ve been given should be working for society and not for the state.

You are the naive one, without any actual thesis to present, if you think police is out here protecting communities.

Only the siths deal in absolute. And police officers don’t really uphold the law, at least in France, they transgress repeatedly and are protected by the institutions never trialed for their crime.

We need to reevaluate the role of police in our society because it’s not working for the public but against it.

  • That’s weird because people here are super fun and clever according to my experience. Of course the debates are seldom in-depth but it’s still interesting and eye-opening for the most part.

I would love to create a group chat to analyze right-wing rhetoric, underline its hollowness passed the racism and ethnocentrism and generally talk about books that are interesting. Social emulation to go further in political science as a passion ! I need to make that group someday

  • I have my close friends that help and motivate me a lot but… I originally live in France and moved to Canada for a job.

I’m completely uprooted now and don’t know anyone in Toronto. In case you’re wondering why someone would abandon their life to move to Canada, I’m 18 and wanted to explore the world (still do), have a taste of the possibilities.

I’m happy with it, I’m just a little bit lonely since I arrived one month ago ;) so music making is hard alone, you constantly have to reinvent yourself and have lots of self-awarness
