@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there a Lemmy community for all time classic YouTube videos?6•3MI think the post button doesn’t work for me from lemm.ee. Never forget the Techno Viking! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjCdB5p2v0Y
@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Loops by Pixelfed • Public beta launching in a weekEnglish2•6M…And which big creator would choose to PAY instead of getting paid for uploading their videos (like it is, as of now)? I doubt this model would work at all, I don’t think anyone would want to join like that. Sure enough, youtube/tiktok/insta/whatever takes a chunk of the profits too, but at least content creators there can start from scratch and don’t have to invest in hosting first.
@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•iPhone users, what's stopping you from switching to Android?3•9MI’m not sure what’s your pain point then? With Aurora you can install and automatically update proprietary apps. You can use anonymous accounts so you are not officially logged in (does this still work?). If you want FOSS, then fdroid. There’s more updating tools such as unobtanium, but seems what you want is Aurora.
@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What songs do you like that are in a language which you don't speak?4•1YI think nobody posted yet this Finnish duo…This song slaps: Maustetytöt - Syntynyt suruun ja puettu pettymyksin I’m posting this link as it has both subtitles and you get to see them playing, but audio is better in the Studio version.
Since I’m at it…how about some Mongolian metal with throat singing? The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Comments on this video are hilarious too.
This video still cracks me up… Bomba Estéreo - Soy Yo
Japanese pop/rock overloaded with traditional instruments and general chaos…Wagakki - Kishikaisei
And…this. Namewee - Makudonarudo

@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Shows like house of cards but showing realpolitik in CCP/Chinese Congress like House of Cards for the US9•2YActually they do have it, with the full approval and economic support of the CCP, so they get, let’s day, their point of view.
It’s called In the Name of the People. This article seems to mention they even show (gasp) officials corruption.
Just as mentioned, it’s literally financed by the government, so don’t expect a very realistic show. But they seem willing to admit corruption at the lowest levels.
You can always start playing the same cat and mouse game of giving random names to all the censored terms just like the Chinese do on their chat platforms.
Or not. I’m just a message in a forum.
